This project involved installing a full size Murphy bed system to add flexible sleeping space without sacrificing room layout. The homeowners wanted a solution that could function as a comfortable guest bed while allowing the room to stay open for daily use. The system selected included a solid wood frame, integrated shelving, and a built in lighting feature.

The installation began by preparing the wall and locating studs for safe anchoring. The cabinet structure was assembled, leveled, and secured to create a stable frame. After the main cabinet was set, the fold down bed mechanism was installed and tested for smooth and safe operation. The shelving tower was added on one side to provide storage space, and LED lighting was wired into the upper panel to give the bed a clean and modern look when opened.

The completed Murphy bed fits neatly into the room with a custom built in appearance. It opens easily, stays secure, and provides a full size sleeping surface while still allowing the room to function as an office or living area when the bed is closed.
