Overview

This project focused on repairing ceiling and wall damage caused by a leak in a commercial hallway. The water had stained the textured ceiling, softened the drywall edge, and damaged the corner where the flat ceiling transitions into the drop ceiling. The goal was to restore the surface, prevent future cracking, and create a clean and finished look with a custom wood trim solution.

The work began with removing loose material and cutting out compromised drywall. The damaged areas were patched, retextured, and primed to match the surrounding ceiling. After the repair work was complete, a custom wood trim piece was fabricated and installed across the full span of the transition point. This trim created a clean visual break and hid the repaired seam while adding strength and stability to the area. Once mounted, the trim was stained to match the existing woodwork in the building, which helped it blend naturally into the space.

The finished repair is smooth, structurally sound, and visually consistent with the surrounding architecture. The hallway now has a clean transition line, no visible water damage, and a custom trim element that improves both appearance and long term durability.
